StellarQ is participating in the HybReDe project, which aims to develop new technology to support rehabilitation

As hybrid rehabilitation models become more common they offer new opportunities for both rehabilitation clients and healthcare professionals. These models combine traditional face-to-face rehabilitation with digital, time- and location-independent online solutions. The digitalization of rehabilitation services and the use of hybrid models bring cost-effectiveness, flexibility, personalization, and enable rehabilitation clients to take an increasingly active role in their own rehabilitation process. Virtual assistants powered by large language models and generative AI can provide significant support both in the client's daily life and in the work of professionals.
StellarQ is participating in the international HybReDe project coordinated by Turku University of Applied Sciences, which focuses on developing the use of an AI-based virtual assistant in hybrid rehabilitation in Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Poland. In Finland, a pilot version of the virtual assistant will be developed specifically to support the management of fatigue symptoms in multiple sclerosis (MS). The project is carried out in collaboration with Turku University of Applied Sciences and the Finnish Neuro Society (Neuroliitto).
With the help of the virtual assistant, rehabilitation clients can receive individualized support and guidance remotely, possibly making monitoring their symptoms and wellbeing easier. For professionals, the assistant provides help with information management and decision-making. The project evaluates the functionality and user experience of the virtual assistant from both the clients' and professionals' perspectives. Collaboration across countries enables comparison of best practices and development on a broader scale.
Participation in the HybReDe project aligns with StellarQ's goal of being a pioneer in healthcare digitalization and the development of treatment for long-term conditions. StellarQ's software is designed to support the monitoring of long‑term disease management and rehabilitation. The StellarQ system provides healthcare professionals with a web‑based interface that enables the tracking of disease progression, treatment effectiveness, and rehabilitation outcomes. In addition, patients have access to a self‑reporting service that allows them to monitor their symptoms and wellbeing remotely. From StellarQ's perspective, integrating AI‑based virtual assistants into hybrid rehabilitation is a natural continuation of our efforts to develop cost‑effective care pathways.
